Beachcombers would like to recognize young athletes in Track
& Field and Cross Country. We welcome contributions to
this page from coaches, parents, students or anyone wishing
to recognize our young people from elementary through senior
high school. |

In
its fourth year, the Daytona Beachcombers Running
Club Scholarship Program will award $1000
scholarships to graduating male and female
high
school students who are members of their
schools cross county and/or track and field teams. |

|
The purpose of these
scholarships are to recognize student cross country
and/or track and field athletes who are leaders in
their school, excel in the classroom, and make
positive contributions within the community.
The scholarships are open
to all Volusia and
Flagler County
graduating high school
senior runners. |

These Scholarships are funded from proceeds of the Palmer College Paint the Towne 5k.
This race is our club’s signature race and
is scheduled next
fall, November 7, 2010. |

In order
to be eligible for the scholarships, an applicant must be
a: |
| |
|
1) Florida resident for the last two years.
|
|
2) graduating high
school senior from a Volusia County or
Flagler County
high school. |
|
3) a member of the high school cross county and/or track
and field teams. |
| |
| We encourage all student
athletes who meet the eligibility requirements to
apply. |
