Our
Canadian Snowbird, Hugh Wilson is at
it again! From January 1, 2016 to January 1,
2017, he ran 97 races - mostly 5K's.(51 last year)
Around the middle of
October each year, Hugh makes his annual trip to our
area - using Daytona as his home base.
While in Florida he travels to Jacksonville,
Sanford, Winter Garden, Orlando, Mount Dora - all
over central Fla to run as many races as possible.
Hugh is able to hang
around and enjoy our Christmas party and cheer in
the New Year (with a run of course, Last Gasp,
Jacksonville) before heading back to Canada.
We look forward to
his yearly visits!
Oh, did I mention?
Hugh celebrated his 77th birthday while visiting us! |

AN
IRISH FRIENDSHIP WISH
May there always be work for your hands to do;
May your purse always hold a coin or two;
May the sun always shine on your window pane;
May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain;
May the hand of a friend always be near you;
May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you |
|
Courage does not always roar, sometimes it is a
quiet voice at the end of the day, saying...."I will
try again tomorrow." |
|
Even if you are on the right track, you'll get
run over if you just sit there. Will Roger |
|
Remember your first run? The one where you thought
you'd surely die? Nothing is impossible.. |
|
Keep Moving Forward! |
|
|
It takes 4 weeks for you to notice your body changing, 8
weeks for your friends to notice, and 12 weeks for the rest
of the world to notice. Give it 12 weeks. Don’t QUIT |
